By day I support a massive automated aluminum finishing mill running on Siemens S7 PLC ladder logic. By night I tinker with Linux, samba, Java and C++ for embedded robotics AI. I studied software engineering at Syracuse University and ITT Technical Institute before joining the Navy in 2006. In the Navy I learned electronics and electrical engineering, power distribution, instrument systems, feedback loops such as in autopilot and fly-by-wire digital flight control. I have worked on very old legacy aircraft such as the EA-B Prowler as it received an upgraded digital autopilot mod all the way to the Navy's newest plane the EA-18G Growler version of the Boeing Super Hornet. Since separating in 2013 I have been combining these disciplines of hardware and software to the field of robotics, such as in offshore oil & gas ROVs and the broader discipline of automation engineering. Questions about my background, or if you're just interested in hearing some old war stories get in touch let's see what we can do for each other.
