comment Forcing Ubuntu 16.04 installation UEFI mode
What is the make/model of your hardware? Making a dual-boot or stand alone system with [HP] (possibly others) ... this may help: askubuntu.com/questions/666631/… If a UEFI machine has previously installed an operating system (such as windows), remnants of the old grub may be still be present. Special steps will need to be taken to use UEFI with the new OS install and/or remove/update the new secureboot grub.

comment Should I use a file extension or not?
Revisiting this after many years, best-practice appears to have prevailed. Yet I still wonder what will happen when web-crawler logic eventually learns to parse operands. e.g. some-relevant-keywords has equivalency of (some) (!exclude->relevant) (!exclude->keywords) Causing every SEO expert to change it suddenly to some+relevant+keywords destroying the aesthetic and readability of using hyphens as separator characters. Root cause: /?query=some-relevant-keywords is already the literal exclusion.
