Aaron left Stack Overflow

St. Paul, MN

I am an Assistant Professor of Statistics and Informatics in the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, and have been involved with Stack Overflow for almost ten(!) years. However, on October 17, 2019, I suspended my involvement on Stack Exchange due to the issues surrounding the firing of Monica Cellio from her moderator position, and on January 23, 2020, after seeing the firing of Josh Heyer (Shog9) and Robert Cartaino and the resignation of Jon Ericson, no longer expect to return.

I take this step with great reluctance, but no longer believe StackOverflow is a place where I wish to contribute. However, if something changes that I should know about, please contact me via email to let me know. Thanks. It's been lots of fun participating on this site, and I've learned a lot.
