Currently I can be found working as a GIS/environmental specialist who hunts for sinkholes as part of my job description; and seasonally I fill in as a geography college course lecturer (when they run out of graduate students to put to work) at our state university.
My background revolves around my master's in biology and my doctoral route experience in geography, and I enjoy finding ways to integrate the two. Someday I hope to actually have a finished doctoral degree, but until then, I'm teaching myself as I go. My area of focus is spatial modeling, particularly for invasive species and species of conservation concern.
I hope to teach myself enough Python to make use of it in ArcGIS for my modeling toolkit and for my current job's needs in the long-term.
