I've been a professional security practitioner in enterprise environments since 2014. At first I was more into the technical things like setting up, securing and maintaining firewalls, web application firewalls, PKI, Authentication servers (smartcards, RSA token, username/password, Federation server using SAML).

Now I shifted towards Threat Intelligence/Research. I think this is a very important new way of looking at security, where intelligence is key to securing your environment. All the software we already use to secure our environment like IDSs, firewalls, WAFs, etc... need a feed of high quality intel to get the most out of these systems.

I'm always here to learn more about security in general too of course, next to Threat Intelligence, but this is what I focus on at the moment.
