Charles started the first podcast devoted to the discussion of WordPress-related topics, called, oddly enough, The WordPress Podcast in 2006, and organized the first WordCamp Dallas in 2008. He now lives in Austin, Texas with his cat Joey, where he's been known to slip in the back of the occasional tech conference, happy hour and/or Meetup.
