comment If orange is hated by both men and women, why successful companies choose it?
I don't think this answers the question. OP is wondering why these companies are choosing orange, not who is using it, they already noted that companies like Harley Davidson and Amazon use orange in the question.

comment World with dodecahedron-shaped trees
I don't know of any world or environment that would form this type of tree but one attribute of it would be redundancy. In normal trees if you sever a branch from the rest of the tree it falls off and dies. Here, any one "branch" is connected to the rest of the tree by 4 other brances, sever in one spot and it still remains intact and accessible by the rest of the tree.

comment Best practices to allow user to hide/show columns in a data table
@PirateApp In the movie ranking gif in this answer the table appears to be sorted by "Rank" and when that column is removed the sorting doesn't change. I don't know if that is the "right" way to do things but it looked pretty intuitive to me.EDIT: I followed the link and the pictured table isn't sortable, but this one is with the same results: filamentgroup.github.io/tablesaw/demo/sort.html

comment If you need to enter your skype name to link your account
@NemanjaJoksic In that case you need some sort of submit button after selection. False clicks happen all the time, imagine if someone is scrolling the list on mobile if they release the scroll too soon it may count as a click and start the linking process.

comment Can a toggle trigger pop up?
+1 for "If it triggers a modal screen, the switch would be no longer accessible" that's the part I was going to bring up. If switching the toggle on opens the modal, and closing the modal via an 'X' or clicking the lightbox closes also swtiches the toggle off, then essentially the switch is just acting like a button.

comment How one should know about perfect font size?
If 72pt = 25.4mm then 4mm = 11.33pt, and 0.75pt = 1px, then 11.33pt = 8.5px. So at 60cm (23.6") away they are reccomending 8.5px font? I think the source is a bit dated if the research was done in '92 (or my math is incorrect which is quite likely).

comment Users forgetting to regenerate PDF before sending it
+1 but you could probably do this without saving a hash right? Just save the last modification date, then when the user opens the saved PDF folder you can mark any that were saved before that date as outdated.

comment Should the user be forced to sign in for a wish list on an ecommerce site?
The OP isn't talking about blocking anyone from entering though, they are asking if the user should need to sign up to create a wishlist which I think could fall under "Do not require anything until absolutely necessary" as you need some way for the user to retrieve their wishlist.
