I am best at coding python, but I am learning to program Java (in particular for Android) as well. I sell games on itch (see my website) and am working on making Android apps as well. But mainly I just love to code.

@BryanOakley Not only in my own code I've seen lots of examples of this to stop callbacks building up. Trying to find a link now...

To avoid this sort of thing in future, it is often a good idea to unbind and rebind events when they are called.

client.run is blocking, so when you run your bot, tkinter is no longer able to update and so crashes

comment Escape string Python for MySQL
That's just python string formatting, which replaces. If condition were, for example, " or 1 == 1 or" , for example, you would have a problem. cur.execute provides escaping by doing cur.execute('SOME COMMAND ?', [value]). ? is replaced with value.

Old thread but shouldn't the last % mark in your code be a , comma, otherwise it's just the same? @zelusp

comment Is there a method for differentiating informative comments from commented out code?
In javascript most lines of code will probably end with a semicolon. Unless your comments do to, that seems pretty simple, and you can write a script to check for that easily too;
