comment HTML table cell id - some generating static others dynamic
If I don't add that, the table's id is dynamically generated and my code won't work. It's just the same problem on the cell level.

The table is static, but there are cells and rows which are added/removed. The cell in question is never changed, however.

I haven't used data-role before, but I would need this id to be unique. Any idea why the ID attribute would be generated dynamically?

I could change it to trigger from the table level, yes, but that would be a longer/messier selector. If I have a table cell with a defined id, I shouldn't have to do that. But to answer your question this is just one cell.

As embarrassing as it is to admit this, my problem was because the method's access modifier was private instead of public....

oh, how could I change that to list of lists? I'm mainly concerned with getting it readable for JSON

list of lists, I ended up doing .Values.SelectMany(x => x).ToList(). Is there a better way?

How would you do this using LINQ if you just wanted the nested dictionary returned as a list? Without the Object initializer?

Do they not both do the same thing? Is r["ColumnName"] not equivalent to r.Field<string>("ColumnName")? And .ToList<DataRow>() is just a redundant way of calling .ToList() on the Row collection. Yes I did try it, same error.
