comment Get local IP address in node.js
The sixth line should be if( details.family=='IPv4' && details.internal === false ) { if you just want external IPs.

@david.pfx I'm not quite sure if HTTP would be overkill or not. Maybe not. And no, I have not looked into robotics at all. I have thought about REST though, so maybe I would use HTTP.

@Dunk, that's very true. What ASCOM did was get everyone to write a standard driver that could be accessed using standard interfaces with specified methods and properties. It was first implemented in vb6 then moved to vb.net and c#. They all easily use the COM interop apparently. It's a bit hard to explain, since i don't really understand COM that well. So, it's not the hardware, but a standard driver interface. And it works well. I'm trying to take it beyond COM to the network level.

@RobertHarvey, yes. I don't really have a comment on it, except that my proof of concept program used the same idea. I did read the article though, and find it interesting.

comment MySQL Create Table with Unique Constraints
True, in general. But in my case they are. If two people have the same name we add some other id to the combination, such as their dad's name. 'John (Dave) Smith'. I'm building a Sunday School Attendance tracker, so we wanted some way to keep things separate.
