Computational physicist turned software engineer and data scientist. At my current employer I write some code for digital signal processing, image processing code, Qt GUI development, middleware, and embedded systems that interact with FPGAs. I like challenging problems whether they be finding the correct algorithm or designing a system to be robust and lightly coupled.

I like to always be learning new things. I have taught myself various programming languages (C++, Python, , software architecture design, digital signal processing, image processing, machine learning, data mining, financial engineering and numerical optimization techniques.

My physics background includes internships at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratories and a M.S. in physics. My graduate work was in computational physics including working with various numerical techniques for approximately solving quantum many-body systems (DMRG and related techniques).
