My original (and formal training) background is in Visual Communications. I'm now a self-taught Web Design and Web Developer. I've been involved in many many projects, one of which is now a nation-wide review platform for local businesses.

My best platform for development is WordPress, which despite common speculation, is a very powerful platform for just about anything. I've learned a lot in my 2 years developing web sites, and am now very proficient in HTML, CSS, PHP, and jQuery, and have a working knowledge of MySQL.

I love helping people and spend a lot of my time on SO, as the best way of learning, is through teaching! :)
