comment VBA connection failure?
Well, interestingly, I was able to run this successfully when I logged in as Administrator. Thanks for your time.

No. There are no File DSNs in Data Sources. And my ODBC drivers are SQL.

comment VBA connection failure?
Thanks David. I don't know how to check the actual value of 'Conn.ConnectionString'. VBA code is unfamiliar to me. Perhaps I need to put in a ticket with IT. I was hoping I had an obvious and therefore simple code error when setting the database connection. For curiosity, what should my default driver be?

comment VBA connection failure?
Yes, I believe it is failing to establish a connection. The FilePath is new, but the rest of the program is the same. And I did forget one part: The error window says Run-time Error, Data source name not found and no default driver specified. The Data Source remains the same. I don't know anything about the default driver.

comment When creating a correlational ellipse, is it possible to identify the cases that fall in or out of the ellipse?
Great. This got me to at least know which cases are in or out. I still wish there was a way to output a variable indicating which cases fall in or out of the ellipse. I assume that because this is a plotting function, there is no way to calculate a new variable.
