I went ahead and implemented my own custom simple membership provider. I wanted to separate admin users with normal app users, so basically SMP doesn't provide that as its a simplistic version of the membership provider.

ok, what about CreateImageData -> PutImageData, that would be just CPU to GPU? Like I mentioned, network is never really a problem, as I can get the stuff immediately available when the server sends it. I updated my question on drawImage.

I really need to use canvas, as I'm streaming a single image in bits and changes to the image. Think like a thin rdp client like thing.

Just seen this as I was facing the same problem, If we have a byref<> in a win32 extern API then it requires a "&" operator to tell the compiler about the byref, otherwise as Tomas has said it should work with ref variables, let mutable pid = 0u GetWindowThreadProcessId(new IntPtr(phwnd),& pid) |> ignore
