comment Sexism in conversation moderation, or, why wasn't I suspended?
@DawnDeschain: For the record, the type of ban you got was automatically placed by the system based on downvotes and deleted answers. It wasn't a moderator. It is not even possible for a moderator to suspend someone without sending them an explanation at the same time. (I don't claim to understand SciFi's rules for factual answers, and I don't have an account there.)

@satyrwilder: animuson was hired a few months ago and is now a SE community manager. Tim is talking about moderators, not employees.

comment What is this (basketball) statistic called?
@PhilipKendall: Still, being +10 in 40 minutes seems better than +5 in 12 minutes. But it depends also on the replacement player. This is why there are tons of advanced/adjusted/real/whatever plus/minus systems around.

So +/- per minute? I don't know if anyone keeps that stat, since a) +/- is already flawed (I play if and only if my teammate LeBron is on the floor, so I have a great +/-) and b) it would likely be dominated by garbage time players with tiny sample sizes.

comment Using <object> tag to include HTML content: allowed format of included file
@SinanÜnür: No new rules. You're allowed to post a sentence and fill in the actual answer later, just as BoltClock is allowed to point out that your original sentence wasn't an answer at the time he read it.

comment How to use set of elements as key in java maps?
That's the OP's point - both sets have the same elements and should be identical, but an object added with a as the key can't be retrieved using b. This happens because he didn't override hashCode or equals in his custom set implementation.
