comment Best practice for django project working directory structure
Every ran into problems automatically loading templates from 'project/apps/app1/templates/app1/' with the extra app directory in there? .. I have this in settings: "sys.path.insert(0, os.path.join(PROJECT_DIR, 'apps'))" .. but app templates are not picked up :-/

comment Is it possible to maintain a reusable django *project* across apps?
Thanx for the pointers! :) ... When rendering a project based on a template, that is the point where a project 'forks' (is born) into it's own entity. Therewith ... Can repeating myself (copy/paste or otherwise) be avoided when a project is generated based on a newer template, when I want to update previously published live projects as well?

Good to know, thanx a lot @cybmeta .. I have a log monitor that loosely watches activity on sites based on /wp-admin/ urls in the access log ... Planning on incorporating Heartbeat API in a plugin for this so the log filter can be removed. Goodluck and thanx again

comment How do I prevent apache from serving the .git directory?
This is a bad idea, because it discloses information to hackers. A 403 means it's there, a 404 means it's not. Every fact on a server's setup is usefull to a hacker. I'd consider revising this.
