comment Invalid form of array reference in fortran
Not sure if it's an error pasting the code into this site, but ivrt(icell(i)%cell(2)%icounter(1) requires a closing bracket.

comment What tools allow a quick comparison of NetCDF output from ocean models?
@SimonW, I think it's CF that aspires to be the metadata standard for Earth science variables. NetCDF is more of a content-agnostic container format.

comment how to make a grouped boxplot graph in matplotlib
@JoeKington: It's probably because I'm using an old matplotlib version, but that manual setp command does the trick, thanks!

@JoeKington How did you get rid of the yticklabels on plots 2 and 3? They appear on all three plots for me, and if I remove them from one they disappear from all three because the yaxis is shared.

You know about Console.app and Activity Monitor.app, right? Or are you looking for a completely CLI solution?

comment What does this name in my shell prompt mean?
@AlbertRenshaw. If you open Console.app and do a search on hostname, any changes to it should have been logged in there. You might be able to work out which LAN you were connected to from the date stamp. For peace of mind, etc.

comment Skipping hours in a matplotlib plot
What are the timestamps returned by your mySQL query: strings, integers, floats? It sounds like you need to turn them into datetime objects before plotting them with plt.plot(myTimestamps,myCounts). Also, do you want to plot a zero count mark for the unreturned hours or leave it blank?
