comment How to auto restart a command after it closes down?
Wow, this is insane, thanks so much for effort I feel like I learned quite a bit about bash. Maybe I should finally spend some time learning it.

the only two things that varries are the "livestream2" from rtmpdump and link part of the avconv command where "rtmp://localhost:1935/live/" goes up to 'live3'. would it be possible to automate it?

Awesome this works great. ctrl+c actually restarts the rtmpdump command and its a good way to test, but ctrl+z totally stops the script. When I run rtmpdump command, it takes over my terminal screen with output. would it be able to run the script in the background?

comment Backup of multiple server with snapshot
Thanks for the answer. No I am not using virtual machine. Will it be possible to backup all the contents of the disk using rsnapshot. Basically I am looking for a solution which silently backups up a system in the background and should be able to restore to a working server with minimal effort.

absolutely we want to have some type of redundancy, its just that we don't know how to approach this problem in a cost-effective way, thats what I meant to say.

Our customers are non tech savvy, so there was no specific requirements, but obviously we would like to keep these things in mind, but not sure how to approach this problem.
