comment rails 4 activerecord TypeError nil is not a symbol
Definitely seems like an ActiveRecord (or json) bug. I have a postgres view that serializes fine to yaml, but has the same problem you mention here with json. This solution worked great though, thanks.

comment Rails 4: how to use $(document).ready() with turbo-links
Look at SDP's answer to his own question, it's the right way to do it. This will work but it's not the best way.

comment Does IE 8 have a limit on number of stylesheets per page?
Legit reason for more than 31 stylesheets: In dev mode I have a bunch of small, easy to debug stylesheets that are compiled into one file for production. With the asset pipeline in Rails this is easy to do and keeps concerns nicely separated. Unfortunately it makes dev-mode testing in IE even more difficult than it is normally with all of IE's other quirks.

comment Double-speed playback for iTunes?
In Quicktime Player X you can hold down option and click fast forward (or rewind) and play audio faster or slower, similar to the old Show A/V Controls. Unfortunately if you pause and play again it forgets your playback speed. Yay Apple.

comment Chrome hangs when using javascript to check many checkboxes, while firefox does it instantly
Two years later it seems like this is still the case, a page with 500+ checkboxes is excruciatingly slow in Chrome while a similar page in Firefox runs quite fast.

comment Double-speed playback for iTunes?
This won't actually allow you to speed the file up in iTunes, only on an iPod or iPhone.

This works for me in IE 7 and above, and in Firefox and Chrome.
