I work in bioinformatics, but activism is my hobby. I use Rails for writing tools for both.
I'm also a computer scientist by training (Virginia Tech Class of 2007), am fairly fluent in C++, and slightly less so in C.
I'm currently working on a Ph.D. in Cell & Molecular Biology at The University of Texas at Austin. Hook 'em!
My main platform is Ruby on Rails, and I prefer developing in Ubuntu.
Oh, and I'm the director of the SciRuby Project! Check us out. Sciruby.com. I'm currently working on writing NMatrix, a numeric matrix extension for Ruby in C.
