Thanks @kirb! That might be a decent workaround.

comment Disable scrolling on input type=number
Great answer, but at least in webkit, this also prevents the window from scrolling while the cursor is over the input element. I thought mousewheel events are supposed to bubble too.

I should have clarified live screen-sharing demos, but this answers the direct question, though a disappointing change. Thanks.

comment How to delete asset in nested_form through carrierwave?
I actually ran into a similar issue with an older version of Mongoid. Just the changed? method override worked for me. It looked like the nested object wasn't marked as dirty unless another field in the model was also updated at the same time while trying to remove an image.

@Tallboy A few perfectly indexed select queries on primary keys are almost always better than any single JOIN query. Joins make the database work hard.

comment iPhone / iOS : Presenting HTML 5 Keyboard for Postal Codes
Sniffing the user-agent for iOS and using the type="number" input type is not a great option. type="number" is not meant for string values (like postal codes), and it has other side effects (like stripping leading zeros, comma delimiters, etc) that make it less than ideal for postal codes. Not to mention, sniffing user-agents makes for a brittle implementation.
