comment Evolution 3.10.3 + EWS + Office365 = Calendar hangs client
Thank you for your response. I have made sure that I am using the a latest available version from their PPA. I have two Office365 accounts. When I reconfigured from scratch, the first account worked fine. When I added the second account that is when evolution locks up. I loaded a laptop with the same configuration and it works fine. The only difference: 32bit vs 64bit. Both running Ubuntu 13.10 + Gnome PPA.

I used the original posters schema to test. If you are using the MySQL example then yes, key1 is the primary key.

What is there to provide? I used your example from above. The results were the same. The MySQL documentation is clear as to WHY the filesort was used. Your EXPLAIN exhibits the MySQL documentation statement: object_id index was used to fetch the rows but ORDER BY was by object_setting_id. Ergo, The key used to fetch the rows is not the same as the one used in the ORDER BY.

comment error: attempt read-write outside of disk `hd0`
How did you partition this drive? Was Windows on it first and then you repartitioned it to add Ubuntu? I still suspect the problem is either with the SSD and/or with the boundary of the partition.

Thank you! This explains a lot. I will review your other articles. This database is READ-ONLY is updated by another process (a dump from a mainframe). The tables are not being changed by the application. Now I understand that it doesn't matter if it's read-only, its the fact that the table is open.
