Block non-promoted but unsolicited posts on Facebook @al, the problem is, I don't want it to show anything from a page/site I haven't liked—that's the whole point of not liking it. |

Block non-promoted but unsolicited posts on Facebook @designer I have no problems with the ads on the side. I want to block non-ad posts from my news feed. |

How can I unpack a .deb on Mac OS X without installing it? All I know is, I followed the Internet's instructions to uninstall v3 and then installed v4, and now I can only get to it via the path I posted. Like I said, I think there is an optional install in prefs that puts all XCode's stuff in /usr/bin, but it's optional. |

Is there any way to run PowerPC applications on Mountain Lion (Not installing-just opening from a CD) There is no difference whether your application runs from the CD or otherwise. The thread linked is your best resource. |

How can I unpack a .deb on Mac OS X without installing it? ar comes from XCode (unless you installed it with MacPorts/Homebrew/etc), but XCode 4 comes from the App Store and therefore doesn't install anything in /usr/bin by default. I think you can change it from preferences, but that's the default.

How can I unpack a .deb on Mac OS X without installing it? Users of XCode 4 can run /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/usr/bin/ar.

"df" command making network requests? If something is calling df, then probably a list of running programs is relevant. Also, it is prob a good idea to reboot and see if it runs before you launch any programs. |
