comment Was the arrival of "The Friend" or "The Advocate" a measurable or significant event according to secular records?
Trying to sort out what I, myself, mean by this. Here is another angle- What if the Holy Spirit manifests in our day-to-day life as one's conscience, that voice in your head telling you right from wrong? What if before Pentacost, that voice didn't exist? That's closer to what I mean. Is there any way to measure it?

I was thinking that day-to-day life was different before than it is now because of It's arrival. For such a significant difference, I thought there might be some other cultural reference for the change. Similar to other religions accounting for the Flood event, etc.

Left ambiguous if the answer is immortal vs invulnerable, I prefer to think that Carter can be killed. For if he cannot, well there goes a lot of the thrill and suspense throughout the series.
