Started in 1980 with BASIC on a Sinclair ZX80. Various flavours of BASIC later, went to Uni and did a final year project using a dynamically assigned 48 processor array (Transputers - who remembers them?) to calculate fractals, stint in support, LAMP stack coder from 2004, never looked back.
