comment Username and password authentication rules in Laravel
@yannishristofakis This is just example, so I don't included custom username validation. If it confuses you I deleted username related code. I think you should view laravel code (withErrors method) github.com/laravel/framework/blob/master/src/Illuminate/Http/…. withErrors method uses MessageBag, which require array as param (github.com/laravel/framework/blob/master/src/Illuminate/Support/…)

comment Username and password authentication rules in Laravel
Thanks, I fixed typo. $userdata must be $userdata = array('email' => Input::get('email'), 'username' => Input::get('username'), 'password' => Input::get('password')); 'Auth::attempt' requires array with 2 elements: column name corresponds to a "username" and password.

comment How to avoid directory listing in laravel 4
It depends on web server. For apache you can add "Options All FollowSymLinks MultiViews -Indexes" to .htaccess

@hek2mgl If you don't use versioning system it's possible to create backup files: perl -e "s/FIND/REPLACE/g;" -pi.bkp $(find path/app -type f)
