comment Which of two Breaking Bad questions to close as duplicate?
@NapoleonWilson - so I had to look at this, and it does require closure. Some close votes would be nice before I wade in with my super-close-vote.

@NapoleonWilson - no I'm happy to do this but might have to be later ... work getting in the way this morning!

comment Which of two Breaking Bad questions to close as duplicate?
@NapoleonWilson - I don't know, and there is no documentation that I can find. The initial UI just has two input fields for the question IDs. I would presume it would give me a chance to confirm these details and at worst deletes the old questions so I can easily undo.

This is a conundrum though - the new question is much better but over a year younger. However normally you would expect the newer question to be closed as a duplicate of the older one.

Of course the merged question would require some editing to be the best of both originals.

As a side answer - yes, the moderators can merge the two questions.

Yup - flag it then. I can't see which of your answers you refer to though, none seem to fit the 'list question' category.

As for your other question that was closed for being "too broad" - well really this is a badly worded close reason, I suspect it was because it would derive a list of equally correct answers. It is in SE terminology "a list question". It wasn't closed because it related to race.

And as for the other question (which is esstentially a duplicate of this one). That question doesn't contain the assertion that its ridiculous to cast a black man for a completely fictitious character who is from an alien race, just because it the comic book character is white or it vaguely relates to norse mythology.

Well the point aside is that people here are finding this question as currently worked is at best a "list" question not suited for stack-exchange, and at worst based on an offensive premise. I do suggest you reword it as there may be an objective and interesting subject here.

There might be a good question here relating to casting decisions and demographic markets, but currently this is just going to either attract a list of perfectly correct but rather uninteresting answers like Gravity, and does appear to be stem from an opinion that casting non white actors for some characters is somehow ridiculous.
