You don't necessarily have to import MyObjectClass.h in your View controller's header file, you could use a forward declaration (@class MyObjectClass;). But including the header shouldn't cause an error. You should post some code in your original question. You also should make sure that your "cube" is an instance of MyObjectClass which you can do in the Identity Inspector.

MapKit does things on its own threads, which is great because its fast and keeps things responsive, but it means that it isn't 100% compatible with a non-thread safe API like Core Data.

@Matthias-Bauch I haven't looked at this stuff in a while, but I believe either in 2014 there was a WWDC session called "what's new in state restoration" that had some new features, and it sounded like that might help here.
