Currently I am a post-doctoral bioinformatics researcher in at Cardiff university. My area of research is genetic predisposition of complex, polygeneic, non-mendelian diseases, specifically, those classified as psychiatric disorders (schizophrenia, autism, bi-polar disorder, and alzheimers). I am currently working with Next Gen sequencing data to discover new variants. In terms of programming, mostly it's R, sometimes Python, Perl only when I have to, and the occasional awk and sed.
