comment How do two atomic formulas unify?
You could also just try at the REPL: ?- m(a, X) = n(Y, b).

comment Reuse same function body for multiple type signatures
I answered--and deleted that answer-- below suggesting a Functor instance for Block which is a little boneheaded since Block isn't even of the right kind.

comment Inherit Java class from Luaj
I don't know much about LuaJ but chances are that Wizard is itself a userdata with its own __index method that won't be checked if it's assigned as a __index table for another object. Something you might try is just assigning __index of the metatable of your class to a function that fetches from Wizard, e.g. function idx(self, k) return Wizard[k] end

comment Error defining anonymous function in Clojure

comment Shell execute in lua
If I were using just vanilla Lua the solution here would be io:popen to execute the script and read from its stdout, but I guess that isn't available?

Use the infix form of ->. I have no idea why it makes a difference but indeed it does. (i.e. data ... where {Identity :: a -> Identity a})

comment constantly function not workint in syntax quote
Yes, I see it most in the context of Lua; that's where I learned it anyways.
