comment How to persist data to DB between tests with pytest-django?
You either should use fixtures, or something like factory_boy to have data available between tests.

Can you post the whole error trace? That would help

comment How to run a Django post_save signal as a background process?
I guess the issue is that long-running processes should ideally be kept out of the request-response cycle to improve experience for the user, and stop your server process being held up by the slow task. The fact you're hitting the timeout suggests that it is a bit too lengthy to be considered reasonable for a request-response. There may be other simpler queues out there, but I'd go with that.

comment Having two Generic ListViews on the same page
That's really the best way to learn. If you just copy paste, you'll not be able to DEBUG your own code.

comment Django sslserver (https) is getting slow gradually
Out of interest why are you not either serving this via a reverse proxy terminating SSL -- something like nginx/Apache, and why you aren't running your django app with a WSGI server

comment Best practice for DRF versioning - copy whole folder? Or subclass previous version?
If you're moving from v1 to v2 that suggests some big time backwards compatibility breaking change. I'd do them as self contained modules

Heh, yes indeed - I don't actually think Flask lets you, but you're right, that would be daft!

comment Flask Python - Put request returns only 404 after changing host to 0.0.0.0
I don't think you can run on 0.0.0.0 without DEBUG disabled

comment MQTT for Web Application
From the docs It suggests that onConnectionLost and onMessageArrived do not appear to be accepted by the connect method - I can't see them in the accepted parameters. Not sure if that would solve your issue, but seems potentially pertinent. Also from the official example they set the callback handlers as a separate process to the connect call.
