comment Unable to create table in MySQL using Doctrine and Symfony2
I ran into an issue when I executed the schema update command, doctrine told me the join table (AssignedItems in this example) already existed. I used the ManyToMany annotations in the Doctrine examples on just one table. I broke apart Doctrine code to ManyToOne like this example shows and Doctrine no longer complained. Thank you!

comment How do I setup up Doctrine's Class Inheritance in Symfony?
The DiscriminatorColumn is the key which in this case would be a value of model, part or option correct? So I need to create a column in the product table that will contain one of those 3 values. I still don't understand what is used to join the tables. How does doctrine know to link the ids between the product and model entity if I remove the $id property....? Wouldn't I still need to do something like where product.product_id = model.product_id?

Models, parts and options are all products that can be sold individually. They share over twenty attributes such as dimensions, cost, etc.

My web server (VPS) is hosted on GoDaddy, I can confirm outbound port 25 is blocked. I have tested port 587 and that port is NOT blocked, however example-com.mail.protection.outlook.com doesn't accept 587...

Have you tested this? I just tried your solution with Outlook 2010 and it doesn't work.

This solution works great but I'd like to understand what you're doing here. I get the basic concept of closures... a closure is a function inside a function. The inside or child function can access variables from the parent function.... but what is happening when you put (a) in parentheses on the line before a = 3?

comment SQL How to find carts that only contain specific cart items?
This approach works great. Your example is a tad off, ci.cart_id_pk before IN is suppose to be ci.cart_id_fk or c.cart_id_pk.
