The grapple rules state that if a successful CMB check is made, then you can move, damage, or pin the target. If moving, you can move you and the target up to half your speed. d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/combat#TOC-Grapple

Theik, they definitely get one the moment I try to drop them. If they succeed they can try to grapple me instead of simply falling. I still control the movement but control of the grapple changed so I can't simply drop them anymore

After they break the grapple they could, and in this case should, try to grapple back. This would put them in control instead of allowing them to just be dropped to their death
