i.e. Having all sub-paths be unprotected with having to add a security constraint for them one by one.

comment Match jetty url-pattern to only root directory
Is there a way that does not require white listing all sub-paths?

comment What is the best way to manage cert/key for Docker containers that must talk TLS
The volume way is correct. Files should be visible I have done this multiple times. Are you testing on boot2docker by any chance? In this case when you mount volumes you need to have the source in the boot2docker vm not your host machine.

comment Efficiently using multiple docker containers in a single host
From their website "CoreOS is designed for security, consistency, and reliability." Notice no performance gains mentioned. The goal of docker is to provide isolated environments for applications that are repeatable. That way if one service gets compromised the others on the host are safe. In addition Dependency management gets easier, i.e. you can be sure you won't break one service because you updated a dependency for another.

If its already an automated build why would you need to rebuild it? You can just pull.

Yes performance will be the same. There will be a negligible amount of extra CPU used otherwise there is nothing else different from running those processes without containers.

Are you by any change using boot to docker? If so the container will expose ports on 192.168.59.103 not localhost

comment Polymorphism in JSON, Jersey and Jackson
Jersey 2 uses Jackson 2.X.X which has both of these annotations so I don't see why it would not work. (See fasterxml.github.io/jackson-annotations/javadoc/2.1.0/com/…)
