nice solution but unfortunately I seem to have a space between the shadow and the drawer when fully opened

comment Run non static method on current activity from another class
Hmmm, I think there is a better solution but I am unsure exactly what you need to do. Do you need to have an onclick for the cell and for the button?

comment Run non static method on current activity from another class
Why do you have an onclick in the adapter? Why don't you set the onclick in the activity?

It's unfair to downvote both answers. Both are good suggestions to start what looks like a god awful interface

comment Slide In View Animation
as so this approach does work but I was only setting the top margin and not both the top and bottom so the view was being squashed. Silly mistake but it is not obvious

comment How do I detect a button pressed in an Android ViewPager?
The listener really doesn't have to be in that activity at all

comment How do I detect a button pressed in an Android ViewPager?
you don't need to have the listener logic there. You just need to set the listener. An alternative way would be to send intents

comment How do I detect a button pressed in an Android ViewPager?
I have no example, but you could pass the listener in once you instantiate the fragment in your adapter.

you could make MainFragment implement OnClickListener then pass that into the fragment that has the button. Did you try that?

I am trying to modify this to slide up from the bottom. But setting the margin doesn't seem to move the view
