Actually, @RobertFisher , 1E doesn't.

comment How is character development realised in Mongoose Traveller?
The opening line is blatantly wrong. There are rules for character advancement in CT - bloody slow, but gaining a weapon skill, a point of an attribute, and a non-combat skill every four years is directly in line with CT Generation. Every other edition since has had more robust (and faster) advancement options.

comment How did Goddard's rocket reach 41 feet altitude in under 2.5 seconds?
Any downthrust within about 5m of the ground gets some ground effect, as the impact bounces off the ground and increases the surrounding pressure, and thus the pressure in the chamber.

It's actually 29 days in the real cycle. Look it up, @flamma

@HopDavid it's still not actually circular - it's between 0.003 and 0.008, according to iopscience.iop.org/1538-3881/125/2/902/fulltext ... an 82km variation over 6.4 days. That's a significant amount of distance to cover.

comment How do you keep track of the Moon?
@flamma you need to turn that comment into a separate answer, since (1) I don't feel it's a valid answer, and (2) I don't use it, and (3) I won't use it, thus making it not a suitable addition to my answer.

comment Does 5e address the murderhobos problem?
@SevenSidedDie — actually, it's not the first. There's no penalty for it under Alston D&D Cyclopaedia (see p. 267 thereof). It's mechanically simpler under 5E than Alston - because Alston makes 1/4 (round down) of subdual as real damage, while 5E just makes non-lethal a choice at time of last HP being done.

comment How do you keep track of the Moon?
Note that this question really doesn't need, nor benefit from, the system tag, as lunar tracking is important in a wide variety of games.

comment Should we prefer D&D 5E answers that reference the Basic Rules or the Player's Handbook?
@waxeagle 0.2 is 115pp versus 0.1 being 61pp. Any reference needs to be noted for edition because the pagination is very different. Version 0.2 is almost twice as long. That's a LOT of addition.
