@neontapir I decided to obliquely mention that there are more Dr. Who games.

I've never seen a copy, @neontapir ... so I can't add it to my answer, per the rules here. All the ones I've mentioned I have at least read, and all the generics I have mentioned I've played and GM'd. Experience with a given game is a prerequisite for answers in recommendation questions. As a further aside, I'm not a whovian. I have read the C7 Dr Who... but won't play/run it. I was reading it for system comparisons.

Rolled back because I do not consider 5E to be best visualized by the Willingham version - it's not the same as pre-4E, nor as 4E.

comment How many men or women does it take to fly an interstellar space ship?
Blake, A human lifetime mission generally implies both for the people aboard and for the people back home. Further, any real speed fast enough for dilation to significantly extend lifespan will also be fast enough to irradiate into non-existence the crew, and render the front shielding plate not only non-optional, but positively ablative. That front shield also has to be mirrored on the back end; without Alcubierre-White FTL, Alpha Centauri is over 100 perceived years away given a 0.01% payload fraction and the best delta-V we can muster. (And will take about 110 years back home.)

comment Using nWoD dice system in V20
Not all oWoD titles used the variable target numbers; several used a required number of successes instead.

comment Making a character without a soul?
There are a number of versions of the Vampire that are simply animals that look human. Such as those in Niven's Ringworld. Or the warp demons of the early editions of 40K. They don't learn, they just hunt.

comment How would the Voyagers be tracked after the RTGS runs out of fuel?
One other thought - 400°C is the same range as some of the detected brown dwarves... color T8 brown dwarfs. 1000°C is T2... but thousands of times closer (and thus millions of times higher magnitude per unit luminosity.) If we can spot a brown dwarf at 100 LY, we should be able to spot a 3 billion times smaller cross section object the same temp at 1/63,000 the distance...

comment Making a character without a soul?
@ZoeyHolman The Soul, in prior editions was tied more strongly to character level - life drains literally robbed character levels. In 5E, such life drains & soul drains are now damage to max HP, instead, so it's not the same as prior editions. Be wary of proffered "Prior Edition Knowledge" in looking at 5E, as it is often less than helpful for 5E. (As in, more often wrong than right once the dev team gets asked.)
