I'm a child of the 80's, the first computer I got to use was an AppleII, followed closely by getting to use a Commodore VIC-20. The first computer I owned was a Coleco Adam.
I started my career in higher-education during the 90's when Linux and the web we're being born. Then I graduated to corporate life where I've be involved in the technology of the media industry for the last decade.
I dabble in a lot of things. Lately it's been Objective-C, Python, Django, Fabric, Git. Before switching to Python as my new favorite, I spent a lot of time with Perl (which I learned from the Pink Camel book).
Years ago I ran Linux on the desktop-- held out on WindowMaker when all the cool kids were doing Enlightenment. These days I'd rather use the computer than administer it so I use a Mac.
Also in the 90's I lead the Athens, GA Linux Users Group (CHUGALUG) and had a short lived business (hobby really)-- a cyber cafe called The Hard Drive.
I usually don't write this much about myself, but I want the autobiographer badge. ;-)
