When I am not working, I am trying my wife's latest recipe or pushing my 1-year-old on the swings.

I write web code as a hobby in the few leftover intervals.

Everyone has their concept of what makes a good programmer. For me, it's this:

  1. Know thyself. If your child is climbing all over you, then use that time to clean up indentation, comments, and spacing. Don't start ripping things apart unless you know you will have it all back together by the time you get interrupted again.

  2. Dream big even if the job is small. That way if your project becomes a bigger deal, you already have the groundwork in place to adapt.
