I'm a developer by trade and by heart. I started programming around age 13 and there was never really any other profession I wanted. Higher education taught me to structure my work and never give up faced with "impossible" challenges, which are some of my highest ideals.

Quite a few western developer jobs are under pressure from "low-cost" outsourcing shops, and this is a serious challenge to our profession. However, I think there will be a place for us who truly love the work, as opposed to just choosing it for the paycheck.
