comment How can I determine if running tar will cause disk to fill up
Tangentially: don't create the tarfile as root, a certain percentage of space on the disk is set aside for root exclusively, exactly for the kind of "I've filled the disk and now I can't login because that would write .bash_history or whatever" situation.

comment inlining CSS or not ? (can I take decision based on the CSS size)
In a single-page app, you could theoretically have a build process that does the packing and copying for you, so you don't have the drawback of the single file during development. But yes, trying to change something in the resulting file will be as much fun as debugging minified JavaScript. ;) But to offer my opinion: I'd sooner inline background images into the CSS and sprite images than inline the CSS - it's just one more request.

Are any of the services clustered, i.e. would you need to merge some of the log files on the fly?

comment Hide your e-mail address from spam crawlers
@DL6ER: My point exactly. This is not about a spammer getting your adress, this is about you getting legitimate feedback from people who do not speak your language. This looks like a very low barrier, until you set your operating system language to Polish and then try to get anything done. (Language chosen arbitrarily as one I don't speak.)

comment Hide your e-mail address from spam crawlers
@doncherry: with my accessibility hat put on, this requires knowledge of the language and will give you a lot of bounces to john.doemy@foo.com, so it probably also requires knowledge about how last names in your culture are constructed.

comment Stop all logged in users from being able to edit all content
Additionally, on yoursi.te/portal_workflow/manage_selectWorkflows, what's the workflow for Page? (If it's (Default), check the bottom of the page for the true value.) If you go to the contents tab, there to the workflow just found, there to states, public, permissions, what does it tell you? Does "Authenticated user" have "Modify portal content" or something like that?

comment Stop all logged in users from being able to edit all content
This is not default behaviour. On yoursi.te/manage, in the security tab, what are the checkboxes for (to name a random candidate) "ATContentTypes: AddDocument" and "Modify portal content"?

comment Is it a bad idea to not allow users to register with an easy to guess password?
As a counterargument pointed out by Bruce Schneier, people are pretty good at keeping paper items safe: bank notes, passports, etc.

comment How to steal a font from a site
So what's the question? If the path is wrong, it won't work. Mind you, the server could also (try to) inspect the referer header and not give you the file unless the referer is either the CSS or the document file.

comment Remove comma of the last dd before every dt embeded using :after pseudo element
Assuming you are styling this whole thing inline, why not put the ", " before each dd unless it's immediately preceded by a dt? (Oh, hang on, linebreaks probably. Nevermind ;) )

comment Logrotate not picking up or acting on new configuration file
Does logrotate -d (debug mode) show anything enlightening? Maybe there's one more place you need to change the filename in the config file (I'm sure this not only happens to me?). logrotate runs with high privileges, so there shouldn't be permissions issues, like being unable to read/create the files, but double-checking can't hurt.
