I've been a developer for over 30 years at all levels from junior developer to team lead and project manager. I learnt Pascal at University and my first job was programming in FORTRAN 66. I've since moved to Silverlight with C# & .NET via Ada, C and C++ and a bit of ASP.NET. I've worked at companies varying in size from a five person startup to a multinational games company.

Over the years I've used most operating systems (apart from MacOS/iOS!), starting with PR1MOS and then moving onto various flavours of Unix. I'm now exclusively on Windows, but really should get back into other areas. The only things that are holding me back are lack of time and resources!

comment C#: Trying to add testcase name but receives error message
@Love0915 - According to the documentation though a TearDown method shouldn't have any arguments. This is what's causing your error, but I don't know how to get the testcase string into the method.

comment C#: Trying to add testcase name but receives error message
I think you're misusing the [TearDown] attribute. Just remove the attribute and it should all work as you want.

@NickVolynkin - on SO we don't but on other sites we do, so I was just checking to see which model you followed - SO or everyone else.

comment Why is my Deployment script causing me errors?
What are the errors? Even though the code generating the errors can't be changed directly, there's going to be another way to make sure that the generated code is correct.

comment Value cannot be null. Parameter name: type
Have you checked that there's data that matches your filter criteria? If you've not got any data or you've got an unexpected value in one (or more) of your search terms you could well be legitimately getting no results.

comment Can I expose a data member in a WCF ServiceContract?
What are you trying to achieve here? You have to return data via [OperationContract] calls and pass that data back in via other calls.

comment Windows 7: Confine users to a single program only
How are you defining the users? Are they stored in your database or are you using Windows User Accounts? What you want to do is possible, but the solution will depend on which access control method you are using.

comment Linq to SQL issue with where clause
@AndrewHales in LinqPad (where I tested it), the SQL generated depends on the input value of supplierId. I get different SQL for each of the three cases.
