Don't use C-style anything (arrays, macros, casts etc).
Only real men use naked pointers. Shared pointers are the right choice for softy men like you.
std::vector<bool>is not your friend.
Always use the right tool for the job.
std::uniform_int_distributionand co. instead.

Like jalf says: "should a second instance exist?" is a decision that can only reasonably be made when the class is used, not when it was originally designed.
