I am a 22 year old Web Developer based out of Seattle, Washington.
Since graduating High School in 2009 and moving to Seattle in 2010, I've taken on many responsibilities under various roles at several companies throughout the Seattle area.
Being new to a big city, I did not anticipate the amount of opportunity I would have. After a month of living in a new city, I had started work at Google as a GIS Analyst, where I was tasked with proofing data on Google Maps. After working at Google for 2 years, I received a job offer at Amazon.com to provide Tier II support for Amazon's Digital products. At Amazon.com, my job is to ensure that problems reported within Amazon's Kindle devices, Instant Video service, and the Appstore for Android are escalated to the appropriate development teams, or are resolved over the phone with troubleshooting.
Since starting work at Amazon in June of 2012, I've participated in a Customer Service Hackathon, which aimed at reducing customer effort on Amazon.com, as well as with Amazon's many devices and services.
On top of my full-time responsibilities at Amazon, I've ventured into Freelance work to make a name for myself in Web Development. I've taken on several side-projects to
1) Gain valuable experience working with small businesses and other clients 2) Become more confident in my coding practices by collaborating with other developers 3) Develop a professional portfolio to showcase my projects (Visit http://www.vanormandesign.com)
