comment is this a correct choice for partition and row key in azure table?
The way Azure Table Storage works is that you cannot have it change sorting when retrieving data. It is stored in ascending PK/RK way. First row to be retrieved is the smallest RK for a given PK. If one wants to find out the latest status of a user and RK is timestamp stored in ASC order, the first row will be the earliest status and thus the consumer of the data will have to retrieve all of the rows before finding out latest status. Does this help?

comment Azure Autoscale Restarts Running Instances
I believe that if you have 1 server, it is still getting restarted & yanked out of the LB, regardless of handling of Changed event. This is based on numerous comments from AzureWatch customers

comment How to monitor Windows Azure Website Endpoint for custom status page
Sorry, their alerting features are still in beta... if you need a little more Azure oompth then just URL monitoring, check out AzureWatch @ paraleap.com - or you can use something like pingdom.com for all your URL monitoring needs

comment How to monitor Windows Azure Website Endpoint for custom status page
It's reasonable assumption to make, but many monitors ignore error codes in 400's due to 404 not being a real downtime alert. 500 is usually a good catch all for any unexpected errors that most monitors can catch. Alternatively, if you dont have Azure URL monitoring to work, there are plenty of 3rd party monitors available that specialize in monitoring.
