I am a frustrated, grumpy Haskell (formerly C++) programmer who just found that he understands computation (and how to deal with it) less than he believed himself to. I sometimes get called a C++ idiot and a Haskell troll by Haskell and C++ fans, respectively. In actuality, I am just a dumb engineer trying to undo the damage inflicted upon him by his so-called "education", and find a simple, beautiful and efficient way to deal with computation. I firmly believe these three objectives are aligned with, rather than fundamentally opposed to each other.
