My first real programming language was PHP. It really wasn't too much of choice of my own, but kinda of a baptize-by-fire type of thing. I bought a website that was based on PHP without actually knowing a thing about it. I've been primarily a LAMP developer until 2007, when I was hired in at a company that didn't allow the use of PHP. Since then, I've picked up PowerShell, C#, and Asp.NET. I'm still into using PHP for my own personal projects on the web, but have been sticking to C# for everything else.
