Programmer's log, Stardate 11208.10: Planet CodeSewer
Finding CodeUtopia is turning out to be hard. Rip in the universal economic field has forced SS Career to veer off course into the evil clutches of a dark planet.
It's been 4 earth years since. The smell of curd (that's right, code-turd) is getting worse each day. Dollarium deposits are hard to find, so we're digging new tunnels.
Administration here, is run by nonengians. In numbers, they dominate the digging trade as well.
Nonengians come cheap. Once they are hired, are taught how to hold a shovel and off they go to the deep end. As a race they never had any training in the art of digging and they don't seem to care. And this trait is not exclusive to nonengians. The handful of engians i met here, seem to be following the nonengian way of digging as well.
"Stop thinking, start digging" , "A best practice is always subjective" , "Security and digging are unrelated concerns" etc. etc.
Deepest levels of this burrow are riddled with structural flaws and most of its tunnels are deep in curd.
As the burrow expands, the shadow of a collapse looms larger. Worse still, raiders could gain unauthorized access to these tunnels and literally walk out of here with all the processed dollarium.
The prevalent ignorance towards the engian practices depress me.
