I'm the Chief Technology Officer for KEV Group, a Toronto software vendor focused on K12 accounting and online payments. Our SchoolCash Online and SchoolCash Accounting products help thousands of schools in the US and Canada manage cash and online payments.

I began my tech career in the late 90's as a UNIX systems engineer, installing, configuring, and tuning Solaris and Linux machines for commercial and open source database servers, web servers, DNS, firewall, java application services, messaging servers, email servers and so on. I also obtained the Microsoft MCSE designation and managed mixed Windows / UNIX environments. I transitioned naturally in to team lead and director roles early on.

I'm involved in the Toronto tech community. I'm a co-founder of Toronto Code Retreat, and a member of several other technology groups.

Outside of work, I enjoy camping, kayaking, and a certain amount of video gaming.
