wifi working during install of 12.04 ubuntu server, but not after restarting confirmed that this is due to /tmp being on a separate partition. On the vanilla setup, I pointed /tmp to a separate partition and rebooted. wifi configuration didn't complete. Commenting out the /tmp line from /etc/fstab made it work again. |

wifi working during install of 12.04 ubuntu server, but not after restarting worked after on the third re-install. dunno why. went from a fancy LVM+RAID install to a brain-dead-simple single partition install. maybe that did. not sure. |
