comment Three.js rotating, scaling not occuring around object central axes
The object position is at 0,0,0 so I set it to - objectcenter.x , - objectcenter.y , - objectcenter.z to bring it to the world origin (world 0,0,0). When I scale around this point I have a similar problem, meaning that the object origin must be at some other random point I am assuming?

comment Three.js - Rotating a sphere around a certain axis
any idea how to make this work on an object locally? At the moment it's rotating around the world axis instead the object axis. Thanks

comment Three.js Raycast off from mouse position
I am running r67 at the moment on desktop browser, I am indeed using larger units as I am using UK geographic information (British National Grid coordinates) so up to about 600000 at the moment which may be causing the issue. Thank fully adjusting the frustum and FOV did appear to fix the issue, although I couldn't honestly tell you why. I did play around with the raycaster precision before this but that appeared to have no effect either.

comment Three.js How to get position of a mesh?
If anyone is wondering 'position.getPositionFromMatrix()' is now deprecated use: position = new THREE.Vector3(); position.setFromMatrixPosition( objMesh.matrixWorld );

comment Three.js Raycast off from mouse position
Hi Nick, thanks for your reply. I recently had this issue again. I looked at your solution, however the mouse coordinates appeared correct, although I think this is still a great answer because it would indeed affect the intersection position. Changing my far frustum and the aspect ratio to slightly higher values appeared to fix the problem for me at the moment.
